Today I joined Substack
where I'll be sharing news from the studio and insights into my personal life which you won't find elsewhere. Today it's all about finding my feet and sharing my latest exhibition which closes Sunday 4pm!
For a while now I’ve been creating a little behind the scenes newsletter called Bright Moments where I share my approach and progress on paintings in my art studio. I love reading about how others live and work so I’m thinking others may enjoy reading my story unfold from my tiny corner of the world. Whilst I dream of living in a coastal home where I can just pop out for long, windswept beach walks with the dogs, I actually live in the ever changing landscape of the forest. Which is pretty inspiring in itself. My dream? To have a beach or loch side house too or one located next to a beach, backed by forested hills! Right?!? We all need a dream because even the unusual to one can become a little mundane to another.
Anyway. I’m trying to figure out this new platform from the comfort of my bed, tucked up in my duvet with a view of the forest through my arched chapel windows with the birds singing away outside… even though it’s clearly bedtime my feathery friends!
It’s the last few days of an exhibition I’m taking part in and I’m hoping it attracts a lot of visitors this bank holiday. Hoping my paintings will find their forever home too.
I’ve got a few available there from the yet to be released Flourish Series, including Morning Mists (the big one 92cm x 136cm), two Tulip Fields on cradled board 30cm x 40cm, one mini Spring Bloom shadow mounted painting plus 4 gorgeous paintings in A4 mounts ready to drop in a frame.
Even though the spotlights aren’t working (they went kaboom apparently), the exhibition looks stunning with so many beautiful and diverse pieces of art to choose from. I hope you get a chance to pop along and see it for yourself.
Open May 2nd-26th, Thursdays - Sundays 11am -4pm. Free entry, free parking, accessible. Canwood Gallery, Café & Sculpture Park.
What doesn’t sell will be heading straight into my website for a June release and get it’s next outing at the farOpen Art Trail July 6th -14th
