Cloudburst #18 : Gentle Release #3
How does a feeling look? What does that thought look like? Abstract expressionism is all about depicting emotion. This sketch is about breathing in the good and gently releasing the tensions and pressures, allowing warmth and light to surface with renewed energy in an explosion of pink and white tones. These pieces often start with under layers of conflict in script form which are then smeared with soothing opaque layers and energetic splatters as I work through those feelings to find the truth.
Original artwork painted by British female abstract painter, Charlotte Keating. Acrylic, soft pastel and charcoal on toned grey paper 6 x 8 inches / 15.2 x20.3 cm, 300 g/m2 heavy weight paper. Place straight in 6" x 8" frame or add a snowy white mount for +£5 to fit an 8” X 10” frame. Can be supplied with frame ready to hang at additional cost - please ask for a quote.
Disclaimer: please note that whilst I try to accurately show the true colour and nature of these pieces, your screen or monitor may display differently. Paper pieces may have a slight buckling effect which is perfectly natural and expected from original pieces of mixed media art and should be embraced as such as they add character and authenticity to the pieces.
