How are you? I'm just recovering from 2 ½ days of hanging the glorious farOpen Spring Art Exhibition at Canwood Gallery. There's some stunning work on show there including my latest piece "Morning Mists" which I finished on Sunday night ready to deliver on Monday morning! Nothing like giving my artistic inspiration a final nudge over the line!

Plus, I snuck in a couple of smaller pieces to showcase alongside 😊🌷

 

There are over 120 pictures,  21 indoor sculptures, 9 outdoor sculptures, 3 lots of jewellery, 4 collections of ceramics and a gift shop of smaller artworks, cards and gifts.

Evolution of Morning Mists

In case you haven't seen my Reel on Instagram, I thought I'd share the evolution of this fabulous painting. First came written thoughts, then washes, colour blocking, pastel marks… then more dreamy semi transparent washes, etching, intentional marks and a final session pulling the piece together with bold moves. I worked on loose canvas to start with then had it stretched for the final stage. Wonderful isn't it? I love it.

It's 92cm x 136cm and can be framed quickly if you prefer. Would look gorgeous in a thin, pale grey float frame but I didn't quite have time for that!
