Artist Drop In Session - Coffee & Create - Pre Booking Required to secure your place

If you like to create in the company of others, why not come to these drop in sessions where you can join other artists for an informal, self guided session in a friendly, supportive environment. Awaken your creative side, bounce ideas off each other, make friends, share tips, ask for advice, listen to some tunes, soak up the good vibes and paint yourself happy....

It's a lovely chance to come together, enjoy a natter over coffee and create some quick experimental pages in your own sketchbook to inspire your creative journey later.

My light filled studio has a sense of tranquility and joyful vibe which will inspire some gorgeous painting play and meaningful conversations. I'll provide the tea, coffee and venue but please bring your own art supplies to take part 😊

If you're seeking some inspiration or inspiring conversation, want to boost some creativity, overcome a painting block or simply feeling a little isolated and wish to paint alongside others, why not join me and see what transpires?!

Setting you up for the weekend, sessions will run on selected Fridays at 10.00am - 11.30am. Open to a maximum of 6 students including the host, Charlotte. Just select from the date from the drop down list and add to basket. Although called a Drop In Session, pre booking is required

Coffee and Chat with Charlotte

Last Friday I visited the colourful, painterly studio of Charlotte Spark’s in Lydney for a cup of coffee and a chat with several other farOpen artists. The space was large, light and airy so conducive to a group of five artists meeting and sharing ideas.

I took along a few machine embroidery landscape pieces that were unfinished but I thought I’d share and see what others in the group thought. Although I felt a bit apprehensive sharing work at this stage it was wonderfully supportive to hear the comments from the others. Also, I took along some hand stitching so I could talk and look at other people’s sketchbooks.

Charlotte, in between making us tea/coffee, was painting alongside us. Other artists all took along sketchbooks to work in. Because the group was small we soon exchanged our stories and felt comfortable to discuss each other’s work.

Thank you Charlotte for organising this Coffee Meet up which was a gentle way of sharing ideas and chatting about things which inspire us.

Great atmosphere and inspiring work

It was such good idea to visit your beautiful studio near the Forest of Dean. I was totally inspired by your lovely big canvases and the way you worked away in your sketch book while we all chatted.
There was a great atmosphere and the other artists were so friendly and full of ideas. I will be returning soon to recharge my batteries again. Thank you for the warm welcome Charlotte

Just what I needed

The coffee and create drop in session was what I needed after a painters block. The other ladies and Charlotte were friendly and welcoming, that afternoon I got painting again. Its always good to be with other like minded artists. 10 out of 10, highly reccomended.
