She began her journey training as a traditional bookbinder with several highly respected practitioners and continues to develop and refine her craft. With a naturally curious and inventive approach, Magalie enjoys bringing a contemporary twist to this historic art form. She particularly loves designing and creating her own book covers, often experimenting with unusual materials and processes to produce distinctive pieces. Alongside making her work, Magalie runs friendly and accessible workshops from her home studio and local venues, teaching bookbinding and mixed media techniques to people of all abilities.
