I can still remember the warmth of the summer sun as I sat with my paddleboard looking below the rippling surface of the water, musing on friendships, watching the seaweed swaying gently in the undertow. I think I carried that feeling of contentment into this piece with its warm watery hues & the sentiment of trusting that you'll always be there for each other, true friends no matter how much time or distance has passed.
From the Oceans Apart series which explores the shifting nature of friends & friendships as they flow in and out of your life for a reason or a season. A sentiment which is represented by drifting pebble compositions with swaying seaweed, fragmented phrases and marks which allude to shifting energies, memories and light reflected through the depths. Like pebbles on the ocean floor which drift and mingle, this collection celebrates friends which are worlds apart yet close in heart.
Details:
Acrylic paint, soft oil pastel and vintage pages for a multi depth painting which will have you absorbed in the layers. Vibrant cobalt blue, turquoise hues and deep yellow with white highlights and contrasting black words and marks. Finished with archival varnish to preserve your artwork from UV rays & dust.
Size: 210mm x 297mm A4 Watercolour Paper ready to be slipped into a mount and framed. For delivery purposes, this will be sent in a flat envelope and classed as Small Artwork at the shipping stage if checkout.
Framing: Please Add Mount for this piece to come with a gorgeously thick snowy white mount to present your artwork in a standard 12" x 16" frame for maximum impact. Alternatively, keep it simple by slipping it straight into an A4 frame without a mount which would look great for a smaller area or as part of a gallery wall display.
