Acrylic play session is the perfect taster class to get you started using acrylic paint and all the tools for creating a variety of effects like mixing, blending, flooding, etching, layering and mark making. You will be experimenting and familiarising yourself with the different types of acrylic paints and the endless possibilities they offer in order to create a visual reference in a sketch book or on sample cards. If you book a series of these classes, content will vary and progress to give a variety of new processes to experiment with  and I will work with students on an individual basis to build on their skills.

An ideal first session for those interested in exploring acrylic paints for the first time in a friendly supportive environment or for those creatives who are coming back to acrylic paints and would like too enjoy a guided session on experimentation and play with the materials supplied.

A great way to try acrylic paints and make your own shopping list before embarking on your own creative journey or to simply enjoy a creative session with friends.

A great introduction to acrylics

I really enjoyed my session with Charlotte learning a range of techniques to get me started with acrylic painting.
Charlotte is an excellent teacher and a superb artist. I have no hesitation in recommending her workshops and classes. They’re a great way to start learning and enjoying a new hobby, whatever your age.

A relaxing afternoon

What an interesting, enjoyable afternoon spent with Charlotte, in her light and airy studio just outside Ldyney. I learnt different techniques using acrylic paints, mediums, using brushes, sponges, bubble wrap and lots of other items to produce different effects. Using watercolour and cartridge paper to paint on. She is a confident person, very patient and understanding.

In fact I am hoping to join Charlotte on several of her classes in July. What not give her a go… you will certainly be inspired to have a go at home.
