Oren Sandpiper
210mm x 298mm A4 Textured Blue Grey Pastel Paper
Add Mount for a gorgeously thick mount to present your artwork in a 12" x 16" frame.
Ephemera sandpiper painting for the seaside loving art or bird lover.
Just check out this handsome fella Oren! So lithe and trim with a knowing smile on his beak despite his youth. He's quite looking forward the migratory flight for which he's been studying the maps he found all caught in the sand grass. I'm not sure they'll take him where he needs to go but he's certainly got that adventurer's spirit to see hime through.

This sandpiper was created using collage elements from old books, maps, music sheets and dressmaking patterns over acrylic paint with a simple word symbolic of friendship. Beautifully textural and feathersome!
How do I name them? Well, the clues are in their makeup! The character of their personality is inspired by their pose and the text or imagery in the fragments of collage paper in their makeup. From there I choose a name which reflects those attributes. It's all a bit of fun really but well worth a closer look at their feathers to see what you can spot and decipher which word has been written.
From the Oceans Apart series which explores the shifting nature of friends & friendships as they flow in and out of your life for a reason or a season.
